Michael Sher

President & Founder

Michael has been building tools for the emergency and incident management markets since 2001, when he co-founded Send Word Now in New York City immediately following the incidents of  9/11. Michael founded Centrallo, which powers Groupdolists in 2013 to help the teams responsible for the safety and security of people and assets better and more tightly manage their responses during unexpected incidents. Michael’s more than 20 years of experience developing incident management solutions offers insight into the experience and passion that drive him to lead the Groupdolists team to strive to deliver new state of the art technology.

Dan Napolitano

SVP, Product & Support

Dan has been working with software startups since he became employee #2 at Send Word Now. He has more than a decade of experience building software tools for emergency responders in multiple sectors. In his present role, Dan focuses on building the company's end-to-end key practices for conceiving, creating, and delivering Groupdolists to customers, as well as helping them to realize the greatest returns from it.

Dean Efkarpidis

SVP, Finance & Administration

Dean is a finance and operational leader with expertise in driving business performance in high growth and turnaround environments. He has worked in private venture-backed and public technology company settings, focusing on financial software, on demand notification and digital advertising services.  A trusted advisor to the Board and CEO and respected leader and motivator who fosters company culture, team development, and collaboration. Dean successfully worked and/or led multiple acquisitions including the sale of Pivot to CME Group, Yieldex to AppNexus, El Media to TouchTunes and Moat to Oracle all within the last 5 years.

Brian Maloney

Board Member

Brian Maloney brings 40 years of leadership, governance and compliance experience to Groupdolists. Currently, he serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Tech Mahindra – Americas, a multinational provider of information technology, networking technology solutions and business process outsourcing to various industries. He also has previous experience as Formerly, he was COO of Perot Systems, President of Unisys Global Systems and CEO of AT&T Solutions. He was the only independent Board member for Send Word Now. Brian Maloney on Techmahindra. In addition, Brian is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Thomas Edison State University in NJ.

Nigel Hopkinson

Nigel is London-based and heads up European operations for Groupdolists. He has held leadership positions with leading Blue Chips including SAS and IBM, but also helped several emerging software companies scale through organic growth and partnerships. One of these organisations was Office Shadow, a Business Continuity platform where he was CEO from 2007 to 2010 prior to its acquisition. Nigel has managed teams across Europe, the USA and the Middle East region.

Chris Fine

Technology Advisor

Chris Fine is an independent advisor and consultant, specializing in strategy, technology, innovation, and business consulting for companies, investors, and industry organizations.  Chris’s background includes 29 years of engineering, IT, and financial work at Goldman Sachs. Some of his areas of technology and business expertise include enterprise technology, AI, cyber and physical security systems, communication and collaboration, workplace technology, and Internet of Things (IoT).

Jeremy Sterns

Technology Advisor

Jeremy Sterns is an entrepreneur and practical business oriented technology executive, experienced with defining and executing to novel technology product visions.  Jeremy has played CTO roles at several small businesses over the last 15 years in New York and Silicon Valley, in both permanent and consulting roles including CTO at Send Word Now.  In the late 90’s at Sapient he was a technology consultant on Wall Street, following which he co-founded the contextual advertising platform ContextWeb, now PulsePoint. Jeremy’s experience includes product and engineering leadership, technology architectures, global delivery teams, and data and cloud strategy.  He is currently CTO at Insurdata.

Nate Wish

Investor & Advisor

With a seasoned background in public safety markets and as the founder and CEO of Responder Corp, Nate offers unique insight into the emergency response field and his team focuses on investing in public sector disruptor technologies. As an active Reserve Deputy and Detective with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, he has seen first hand the deficiencies faced by first responders. This drove him to dedicate efforts to helping to bridge the gap between the technology first responders need and what is currently available to them. Nate and his team focus on investing in public sector disruptor technologies. Recently, they participated in our seed funding round and we see his team as an asset for our public sector initiatives.

Stevan Bernard

In June 2018,  Steve launched Bernard Global, as he retired from his role as head of Global Protection with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Going forward he is  focused on working with both the private and public sectors as a liaison, and in advisory and consulting roles. In addition, he is consulting for educational institutions in developing new curriculum with emphasis on BCP/CM, risk management, readiness, response and recovery. Steve’s depth of experience includes: military and law-enforcement, CSO and HR positions in food, energy, high-tech and entertainment. Having lived and worked in nearly 50 countries he brings a cultural awareness and business savvy that truly distinguishes him.

Kevin P Donovan

Mr. Donovan is an experienced law enforcement and private sector executive. In his 39 years of public and private experience, he has developed an expertise in investigations and operational security issues such as supply chain and personnel security, product investigations, enterprise security and workplace violence. He developed strategy and supervised execution of security plans involving executive protection, high profile events, critical incident responses, and technical security matters. During his career, Mr. Donovan has been responsible for international investigations, travel security, high profile events, employee evacuations and security assessments around the world. As the Assistant Director of the New York Office of the FBI, Mr. Donovan provided oversight for policy, operations, administration and investigations involving white-collar crimes, violent crimes, organized crime, terrorism, law enforcement training and intelligence matters. He was also instrumental in developing and maintaining close relationships with local law enforcement, other federal agencies, and private businesses in the NY metropolitan area. As Vice President of Global Security for Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Donovan was responsible for overseeing all security issues affecting employees, facilities and assets around the world. During his tenure he created a centralized Global Security Operations Center and increased security in the supply chain by developing a proactive program to protect products in transit. Mr. Donovan is a member of The American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), and former member of the International Security Management Association (ISMA), a former board member for the Pharmaceutical Security Institute (PSI), and a former Chairman and member of the Chief Security Officer's Roundtable (CSO). He was a recipient of the Don Walker Award for Enterprise Security and Executive Leadership in 2013. In 2014 he was recognized as a "Most Influential People in Security" by Security 500 Magazine. Mr. Donovan is currently the Managing Director of KPD Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in Security Management, Operational Security Issues, Crisis Management, Enterprise Security, Risk Mitigation and Investigations. Pete Dowling

Pete recently concluded a thirteen year career as Managing Director, Operational Risk Management, for AXA Equitable, a worldwide insurance giant. As such, he was responsible for assessment and mitigation of the firm's operational risk. He also ran company operations in the areas of business continuity, crisis management, information security, privacy, physical security, records management, and risk and insurance. Prior to his time at AXA, Pete enjoyed a twenty six year career with the United States Secret Service in a variety of executive positions, most notably, during the last five years of his tenure, as Special Agent in Charge of the Washington Field Office. 

Mike Howard

Mike Howard is the Former Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Microsoft Corporation and has held global responsibility for vital security functions including; operations, investigations, risk mitigation, crisis management, executive protection, security technology, strategy, intelligence, and employee awareness. Mike was the CSO of Microsoft for 16 years.

Mike led development of Microsoft’s interconnected Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs), which oversee Global Security monitoring and response, and have become well known in the security field as a leading model for conducting operations globally.       

Michael Lowder

Michael W. Lowder served as the Director of the Office of Intelligence, Security & Emergency Response (S-60) for the U.S. Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) and was designated as a National Security Professional and as a Federal Senior Intelligence Coordinator. Mr. Lowder was the Department’s Emergency Coordinator, providing leadership for all departmental civil transportation intelligence issues, security policy, and emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities related to emergencies that affect the viability of the transportation sector. In 2012 he was awarded the Presidential Rank Award – Distinguished Executive. In 2011 he was awarded the DOT Secretary’s Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement. Prior to this, Mr. Lowder served as the Deputy Director of the Response Division for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Lowder has been designated and served as both a Principal Federal Official (PFO) and a Federal Coordinating Officer (FCO).  He was a member of FEMA’s National Emergency Response Team (ERT-N), and the Domestic Emergency Response Team (DEST). Mr. Lowder has more than 47 years of experience in the law enforcement and emergency services field, at the Federal, State and Local government levels. He has been sought out as an advisor to a number of corporations and organizations in the transportation industry. Mr. Lowder retired from the U.S. Department of Transportation in May, 2018.

Lynn Mattice

Mr. Mattice has an exceptionally strong corporate track record, serving for over 35 years as a senior executive for three major U.S. based global corporations, (Northrop, Whirlpool and Boston Scientific) and one mid-cap company (Wescom, Inc.), all of which are in dramatically different business sectors. His corporate experience base traverses the defense & intelligence, electronics, life sciences, consumer products, and service industries. Mr. Mattice is the recipient of numerous awards and honors from both the government and private sector for his vision, work and many contributions. Mr. Mattice is considered one of the top subject matter experts in the fields of enterprise risk management, risk & competitive intelligence, cybersecurity, information asset protection (including intellectual property, trade secrets, brand protection & anti-counterfeiting), corporate security, resiliency, corporate aviation, and management systems.  He is a Distinguished Fellow at the Ponemon Institute, a Senior Fellow at George Washington University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, and is Chairman Emeritus of the National Intellectual Property Law Institute. He also served for several years on the Steering Committee for the Global Congress on Combatting Counterfeiting and Piracy, which was established jointly by INTERPOL and the World Customs Organization. Mr. Mattice served three terms on the Board of Directors for the International Security Management Association, where he remains a life member, and spent several years as a member of ASIS-International’s Standards and Guidelines Commission. He has authored numerous articles and is a contributing author to several books on risk, cyber, and controls. David Nicastro

David W. Nicastro, CFE and CPP, is a seasoned security professional with more than 28 years of experience, specializing in physical security risk and vulnerability assessments.   Dave is a published author and has appeared as an expert commentator on network news programs.  He is an expert in Chemical and Petrochemical security operations management.  As the President of Secure Source International LLC, Dave is focused on creating value for clients by consistently providing high-quality security services around the world.        

Kathleen O’Toole

Kathleen O’Toole is Founder and President of O’Toole Associates LLC, an international consulting firm based in Boston, Massachusetts.  Established in 1999, the firm provides a wide array of services to government and industry clients.  Kathleen has held several executive positions in the public and private sectors including serving as Boston Police Commissioner and Seattle Chief of Police.  She is widely recognized for her principled leadership and successful reform efforts in North America and Europe.       

Bob Pocica

Robert Pocica has developed, implemented, and managed global risk mitigation strategies impacting the security and safety of people, product, and property for some of the largest and most visible organizations -- all while deploying and leveraging the latest technologies. His 23 years of service in the FBI prior to his corporate career establishes Bob as a trusted, expert resource in all areas of an organization’s risk mitigation operations. He is previous Chair of the Conference Board Council of Corporate Security Executives, and he serves Stetson University on the audit, athletic, and finance committees as a Board of Trustee member. He is a member of the International Security Management Association, Society of Former Agents of the FBI, American Society for Industrial Security and the CSO Roundtable. Bob is also a Certified Fraud Examiner who has led global investigations and risk mitigation strategies. Bob retired as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at McKesson in January 2019. He was responsible for all aspects of security, including supply-chain security, physical security, investigations, and the environmental Health and Safety program. He also managed McKesson’s flight department. Bob helped to establish, and served as the Chair, of the Senior Risk Advisory Board at McKesson, which provided strategic guidance for enterprise risk mitigation. Before joining McKesson, Bob was the Senior Director of Global Security at Pfizer Pharmaceutical. Prior to Pfizer, Bob had a distinguished 23-year career with the FBI as a Special Agent. He pursued various criminal investigations in several FBI Field Offices and served as a firearms instructor, a SWAT team member, and a pilot. Bob also helped establish the FBI's Cyber Division and the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC). While in the Health Care Fraud Unit, Bob earned the Attorney General Law Enforcement Award for leading an investigation into the largest health care fraud case in the U.S. Presently Bob serves as a Senior Advisor with The Chertoff Group, Groupdolists, Topo.ai, and Overhaul Group Inc. Bob received his Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and his Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from Stetson University. 

Ty Richmond, CPP, CRISC

Ty Richmond is President of the Integrated Security Solutions and Technology business at Allied Universal, which encompasses the Solutions delivered to AUS customers through the company’s Integration Systems and Monitoring and Response Operations. Prior to Allied Universal, Ty was the senior vice president of global security at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he was responsible for the physical, personnel, and operational security programs and services for the Theatrical, Television, and Home Entertainment businesses of Sony. Ty is also the former Chief Operating Officer for Andrews International. He has held executive management and chief security officer roles in several corporations including Agilent Technologies, where he led Global Security, Environment, Health & Safety, and Aviation Services.  Ty's corporate security background also includes senior management and executive level positions for over thirty (30) years in the energy, consumer products, logistics, high-tech, and entertainment industries. Ty holds a Masters Certificate of Business from Tulane University, and attended the University of Kentucky and The National Graduate School, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Quality Management Systems. Ty is board certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), as well as being Six Sigma certified. He is a frequent and recognized speaker on the subjects of applying business practices to the corporate security function, strategic planning, and enterprise risk management.
